Zsolt Nagyváti
Zsolt Nagyváti began his music studies at the age of six at the Zoltán Kodály Elementary School in Nyíregyháza. He became enchanted with polyphonic singing in the world-famous Cantemus Children's Choir led by Dénes Szabó. He was a founding member of the Banchieri Singers (1989) which draws on the traditions of the King's Singers. During his twelve years with Banchieri, the ensemble won first prizes at several international choir competitions (Arezzo, 1994; Tolosa, 1995; Debrecen, 1996), recorded numerous CDs and gave concerts all over Europe and Japan. He participated in workshops held by Alastair Thompson, Bill Ives, Jeremy Jackman (King's Singers), Sally Dunkley and Francis Steele (The Tallis Scholars). Since 2000 he has appeared as a soloist in Budapest in oratorios, sacred works and Baroque operas.
